im assuming GIB thought i had J♠ and K♣ so ducking is equal
but still takinng Ace is at least as good as ducking

Yet another of the boards where GIB should drop simulation, when there is a 3-card ending.
From the 1N opening south should be 15-17, so ♣K is in south. Therefore there is no reason to take the trick.

Using the public version of GIB I tried to simulate this play, and I found an interesting observation
When GIB is to play at the 11 trick it simulates 289 boards and get to this result
West to play to C3, CJ, CQ; H trumps
N/S have taken 9 tricks
CA: -649.79 -> 0.02
CT: -650.31 -> -0.02
I play CA
So it is pretty close, but wait, there are only 4 unknow cards and these can only be distributed 6 different ways, so generating 289 seems a lot of overkill :-)
