I have tried to upload a profile picture, but I get an error message. I have spent an hour or so, using Chrome, Edge and Firefox.
Same error message, "error opening picture base" - which does not make sense, since I do not have a picture and therefore not a picture base.
Furthermore: the system locks, when I get this message, so I have to log out and log on again.

I tried on my Android tablet. It does not work there either. No error message.
But at least the app does not lock.

This functionality has been disabled in order to reduce the load on the platform.

BBO know that they should have a better error message or warning.

Definitely - a more appropriate message would have saved me a lot of time. And many others as well, I suppose.
I have been in the IT business since 1974, and I have seen worse, but only a few times.

I thought I changed the message a few weeks ago, but it hasn't propated to the application. I'm looking into it.

A few other favourite messages to change if you have time (text may not be precise but I guess you recognise them):

1. "Make sure you are connected to the internet" ("Cannot connect to BBO right now and did not actually check if I can connect to the rest of internet")

2. "Somebody else is editing your tournament" ("You are trying to make a second modification without closing and I can't handle that")

3. "An error was detected during registration" ("the tournament filled up while processing your request, sorry")

4. "Unable to join table" ("you are already at that table, numbskull")

:)
