I assume the same robots are used in Play Bridge-4 hands where BBO wants to stimulate increased membership.

Uncontested auction 1S-2D 3D-3H 3S- back to GIB who now bid 4S on 9-J10XX-AJ7X-KQJX

I can live with 2D instead of 2C; 3H over 3D is certainly questionable but not bidding 3NT over 3S with KQJX
would seem to fall into the bug category.

Good luck. Thanks.

Same as what? Same as other robots in 4hands?

Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Same robots as other BBO applications games e.g. ACBL Robot Duplicate MP tournament.

Then I suspect that the assumption is unwarranted. You may be right, but my understanding is that the tournaments that cost money use the Advanced robot algorithm, while the free ones use the Basic robot. You can independently rent either type for use outside tournaments, the Advanced version of course costing more. As to whether both types would behave the same way in the situation posted, I cannot answer. Others may be able to.

Should be improved in next version, v31.

GIB would prefer more 3NT if there is no ( or chance for ) fit in major and hand is balanced minorish with just game values ( especially with 4minor cards initiating GF).

It's my understanding that all tournaments, free and paid, use Advanced robots.
