I think my jump to 3NT on the second round should show both unbid suits well stopped and a max, and that should slow North down, especially when it overbids like that. Of course, I was fibbing a bit on the Heart suit, but too many times I have seen GIB have QJx in an auction like that.

Considerable overbid with just the 2 rebid- ridiculous hand evaluation- shouldn't be required to have 4 spades for that bid so that it can bid simple 3C instead.

I am OK with the 2S rebid. Certainly seems to me to be more descriptive than 3C.

I am not OK with the 4S rebid. Even by its own explanation it should have two more Spades (it may be that some hands with only 5 Spades would be OK, but 4??)
Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Psyche (pron. sahy-kee): The human soul, spirit or mind (derived, personification thereof, beloved of Eros, Greek myth).
Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.

"Gentlemen, when the barrage lifts." 9th battalion, King's own Yorkshire light infantry,

"I will be with you, whatever". Blair to Bush, precursor to invasion of Iraq

I love the explanation of 5S lol. But yes, if it's going to pull 3NT at all, it's surely to clubs.
