If Opener forgets, then passing a forcing 3NT response is perfectly possible. Then they buy their partner a beer - hence the convention name.

We have played this method for years, so I think that we will, sadly, remain thirsty.

We use it {edit 2NT 4} to promise 4-4 in minors...quantitative....fwiw
Others may have a better use.

Slam suggestion 55 minors with spade void, but not much use.

More interestingly, we have no meaning for 2NT 4NT as the opening is a 2-point range. Others may have a use? We use 3NT as a transfer to clubs, because that leaves room for ace asking. But 4NT?

Use 4NT as a club transfer too; then 3NT always shows slam interest and allows Opener to rebid more freely.
