Anything could be right, but I'm leading the A also.

Bang the Ace. We haven't a clue why 6H was bid, so why should we know what to lead?

My second choice would be the appropriate count card in , but it's a distant second.

edit: actually maybe a spade spot is the 2nd best lead.

Yep. But more worried about CHO being in on the joke than the specific KXX or KJX showing up in dummy. Could be looking pretty silly if QJTX in dummy and whatever two cards in declarer's hand.

A is normal ("if slam is bid without cuebids or blacky, lead an Ace"), anything else is masterminding.

I think a low spade is more reasonable on an auction like 2-6 (or 2-4) rather than 4-6 as I feel the 4 bidder is more likely to have shortness and/or Kx in side suits then the 2 bidder.

But I don't hate the low spade. It was definitely my first thought of what would probably be best lead in a "lead problem" hand. I think a passive heart is a reasonable choice too. We are long enough in the minors and short enough in spades that it isn't that likely that the cashing spades will go away. So I think I'd say A, 2, 8 would be my top 3 leads.

Thanks for the feedback...

...I did lead the A to disastrous results. Just validating that it was bad luck rather than a bad choice.

what happened is my opinion more normal than the other posters seem to suggest, but I still think spade lead is better.

Would anything other than a diamond have been any better?

Damn, low diamond. And I guess the low spade has an outside chance.

Not so worried about looking silly, but the ace may not cost a trick, and we may have a cashing AK on this auction, so I lead the ace. If there had been a more involved auction, and I knew the SK was on my left, I'd be more likely to lead a small spade, especially if I had no history with opps.
