IMO 2 = 10, 2 = 8, 3 = 7, 3 = 6, 4 = 5, 1 = 4, 1 = 3, _X = 2, XX = 1 :)

Yes I'd pass this...
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

The good thing about being dealer at W/R is that you never have to pass these hands.

Opening 3 or 3 seems to me to be the down the middle actions, but I like a 4 opening. One advantage to opening very distributional hands at the 4 level is that the opponents can no longer play in 3NT.
That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

I'd pass, but if I had to open it would be 4 if my style allowed, also 3 is reasonable, 2 is ridicoulous.

Whatever this is, it isn't a weak 2 or a preempt of any kind to me. I pass, even though I like to go mental at these colours.

Agree with those saying that this is much too nice to bid less than 3-level and that the colours are too nice to Pass. Would bid 4 instantly if my suits were reversed, probably 3 now.

I like 3, although 4 could certainly work well, I think it's a bit much of a punt.

Pass.

My regular partners are as old or older than I am, and I want to keep them alive...I start bidding 4 on these, and I am taking years off of either their life expectancy or the duration of our partnership. As for 3....it's worse than 4! Almost as bad in terms of risk and with far less upside.

I like opening 2D to show where my hcp are at and then competing in spades.
