Scoring: MP

1 1 2 P
3 3 4 P
?

A few questions:

1. What in your opinion should West's third call be?

2. If you were playing in 6 from the East seat, would you hook the 10 on the first round of trumps?

3. If you were playing 6 from the West seat, would you play for 2-2 trumps or not if on your first diamond lead the king lost to the ace?

Against 6, assume the 2 is led to the ten, king, and small heart.

Against 6, assume the 2 (4th best) is led by the spade overcaller.

I think west's hand is quite good after 4S, I think I would just ask for keycards.

In 6H I would like to know which small spade was led.

In 6D I would definitely finesse, it seems really deep to play for diamonds 2-2.
and the result can be plotted on a graph.

west's hand looks awful to me, I'd sing off to 5.

And for the full goldilocks effect, I would bid 5C over 4S and pass 5D.

Good point - is the West hand too good for a non-forcing 2NT or 3 bid (not that I advocate bidding 2NT with this hand)?

Don't y'all see 4xH=loser +DA? I surely would not rebid 3S with no heart surprise for opponents: 4xH or 0-1xH. Also the diamond surprise likely 3-1 , 4-0.

If opponents have not preempted, I play the cue-bid above the 4 level of the implicitly agreed suit, in this case , as exclusion key-card Blackwood. Accordingly show one key-card

Yes, I would hook.
The 2 seems to indicate that are 6-3. This marks North with a weak six card suit for his bidding. He must have the ace and some distribution, which can only be shortage in the red suits, most likely in .

North is marked with a lot of black cards from the bidding and opening lead. Accordingly I would now play a to the nine and pay off to AJ doubleton.

> 1. What in your opinion should West's third call be?

5, on grounds that the club sing and fitting heart Q do not compensate for the raggy diamond suit and spade wastage.

Probably not.

Probably yes. These are just feelings, not based in calcs or extra deductions.
