A great way is to email me a group of times you are interested in playing. I will try to match myself or someone esle with your time so you can bid the 16 hands. Of course since I will be on alot today, you could log onto the program, and look for the host named "inquiry" (that is me)... and send me a message.... and I will get you going when you are ready.

You can also look for player hanoi5, and ask him.

As soon as others are finished and if they are willing to help, I will post their names in this thread....

I'm sorry I have missed this, but how long will the first round last? That is by what date must my partner and I complete the first bidding round?

No :)

I use different hands for loser bracket than winner bracket so someone can't just compare results on all the hands and claim something other than the winner is the winner.

Currently we have myself, hanio5 and jillybean able to host bidding tables.

Tonight at 7:30 pm EDT, Siegmund and his partners are suppose to bid. I will be out about that time, but will try to get back to host it. I might be as late as 8 pm before I return. Hopefully one of the others can start it if time is a rush.

Later tonight Jdonn might get to try with GIB, I will have to host that one as GIBs are not free, but I have them.

One more person has the hands and the bidding script, but they are not yet familiar with working teaching tables. I hope to have her in the fold hosting table later today. Anyone who knows how to work bidding tables and are not in the competition can sign up in this thread to host them, and I will send you copies of what you need.

So far 8 pairs have bid, still plenty of time to get your auctions in.

Very smart Justin, now they know that underbidding works out well on these hands.

No :(

I use different hands for loser bracket than winner bracket so someone can't just compare results on all the hands and claim something other than the winner is the winner.

I understand this point of view: that one doesn't want to have arguments about differences between winner's and loser's brackets.

But it does seem that one could do carryover of scores completely within the winner's brackets, since those people are guaranteed to always have bid the same hands.

Not that I'm arguing for it, I truly have no idea if it's better, just pointing that out.

Anyway, thanks for running this. It was fun. My one suggestion for next time is fewer boards (like 12 or something).
