1♣ was big, 3♦ was nat and GF, and my pass as opener was forcing (I had planned to come in with 4♥ over any "normal" action by partner, as I thought I was too good for 4♥ right away)

a ) What's your bid? (try not to result :P)
b ) how are you playing 6♥ in the south or 6♦ in the north on the presumed spade lead, ♠Q in hearts, low ♠ in diamonds?

Hidden: RHO has 4 hearts, if you ever try to cash two top ones
I once yelled at my partner for discarding the 'wrong' card when he was subjected to a squeeze that I allowed by giving the wrong count with too high a card. Now he's allowed to pitch aces when the opponents have the king in the dummy. At trick 2. When he could have followed suit. And blame me.

I would bid 4♥ over 3♠, don't really think this is an underbid. Now pass 5♦.

Don't see anything better than the straightforward lines. In 6♦, win the ♠A,♥Q,♠ruff,♥ruff with the T and try to draw trumps. In 6♥, win the ♠A,♥Q,♠ruff, try to draw trumps. If there's no heart loser, ♦AK and a club finesse. If there is a trump loser, and they return a club, hop ace and run all your trumps before hooking the diamond just in case lefty started with QJxxxx x Qxxx Kx.

the play in 6♦ seems pretty easy.

In 6♥ it depends on who wins the 4th heart and what does he return, but I think karlson nailed it too, club finese doesn't look right.

About the biddind, I would pass 5♦ my hand is just slightly above average.

Looks like slam to me. We play in diamonds and not hearts, I reckon on principle.

Win the spade lead, heart queen, ruff a spade, Ace of hearts etc

I don't think ruffing with the 10 is a good idea.

It loses when either opponent has ♦Qxxx and hearts were 3-2.

It gains only if hearts are 4=1, diamonds are 3-2 (or stiff queen), and either East doesn't have ♦Q, or he does but he also has ♣K (because he'll return a club after overruffing).

I think if east has Qxxx, I need him to have exactly 3 hearts to succeed anyway (he wins the third diamond, returns a club). But even throwing that case out, I agree with you.
