Scoring: IMP

Hello, this is the sixth thread in the big poll. If you didn't start at the beginning, please start at the beginning (hand 1). Please provide the most probable result after East opens 1 and you either

a) pass
b) double
c) bid 2.

Please do a cross imp result like:

a-b:
a-c:
b-c:

(a-c means the imps a wins over c)

Thanks :) Please try to do all 30 hands also :)

a: 1-P-2-P-P. Supposing we pass, down one. +50.
b: 1-X-2-3-A/P. Down one on spade lead. -100.
c: 1-2-P-2-P-3-X. Down two. -500.

a-b: 4 IMPs (150)
a-c: 11 IMPs (550)
b-c: 9 IMPs (400)

A 1 2 all pass? I guess this would make more often then not. -110
B 1 X 2 3 all pass? -1 -100
C 1 2 2 3 3 all pass +100

I would not pass with the west hand, which had been much better. But some had, so I should give some score for -500 too. I will average it for -80 B)

A:B 0 imps
AC +1
BC +1
Kind Regards

Roland

Yeah, I also agree. I find I have the urge to balance those 1-2 auctions but at the same time, ew.
I once yelled at my partner for discarding the 'wrong' card when he was subjected to a squeeze that I allowed by giving the wrong count with too high a card. Now he's allowed to pitch aces when the opponents have the king in the dummy. At trick 2. When he could have followed suit. And blame me.

a.
1-p-2-p
p-2NT*... 3 double !
ugh! may I get an undo? ok...
-500 i think?

b.
1-x-2*-3-end

I think this is -100 but looks complicated to me.

c.
1-2-p-2
p-3-X-end
-500

ab: -9
ac: 0
bc: +9
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

a. 1 p 2 p
p 3 X ppp
Very biased to say south would pass out 2 imo (though he might double or 2NT). However I'll give him the benefit of not misguessing diamonds if east ducks which I think is very kind.
-500
b. 1 X 2 (hearts) 3
ppp
-100
c. 1 2 2 3
p p X ppp
-500

a-b: -9
a-c: 0
b-c: +9

a. (I'm always balancing on the South hand, so it gets ugly)
1-p-2-p
p-3-X-p-
p-p

-500

b.
1-X-2-2N
P-P-P

-100

c
1-2-P-3
p-p-X-p
p-p

-500

so

a-b -9IMP
a-c 0
b-c +9IMP
