Scoring: IMP

Hello, this is the fifth thread in the big poll. If you didn't start at the beginning, please start at the beginning (hand 1). Please provide the most probable result after East opens 1 and you either

a) pass
b) double
c) bid 2.

Please do a cross imp result like:

a-b:
a-c:
b-c:

(a-c means the imps a wins over c)

Thanks :) Please try to do all 30 hands also :)

a: 1-P-1N-P-2-P-2. Down one. +50.
b: 1-X-P-1NT-All pass. Making two on a spade lead, +120.
c: 1-2-A/P. Down three. -300.

a-b: 8 IMPs (350)
a-c: -2 IMPs (-70)
b-c: 9 IMPs (420)

This is incorrect addition. The result should be:

a-b: -2 IMPs (-70)
a-c: 8 IMPs (350)
b-c: 9 IMPs (420)

B 1 X pass 2 pass (?) all pass + 110
C: 1 2 pass 2 NT all pass +120

AB -220 (6)
AC -130 (4)
BC 10 (0 imps)
Kind Regards

Roland

a: 1S - 1NT all pass. N/S score 8 tricks. +100 to N/S
b: agree with awm. N/S score 8 tricks. +120 to N/S
c: agree with awm on contract. But I think N/S will score 6 tricks?
Opening S10 lead gives declarer chance to discard a club loser on third spade as West ruffs. In any case, I think E/W will score +200

a-b = (1) IMPs (-20) to N/S
a-c = 7 IMPs (300) to N/S
b-c = 8 IMPs (320) to N/S

This is too hard. Only guessing. Might as well give up.

1-P-1NT-P
2-AP, +50

1-X-P-1NT
AP, +120

1-2-P-2NT (overbid, but my p and I overcall on these kinds of suits)
AP, +120

a-b: -2 imps
a-c: -2 imps
b-c: 0 imps
I once yelled at my partner for discarding the 'wrong' card when he was subjected to a squeeze that I allowed by giving the wrong count with too high a card. Now he's allowed to pitch aces when the opponents have the king in the dummy. At trick 2. When he could have followed suit. And blame me.

a.
1-1NT
2-pass.

should somehow make -110

b.
1-x-p-2
end
+110 or so?

c.
1-2-end
this is not a good contract :) I will believe awm and get -300.

ab: -6
ac: +5
bc: +9
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.
