Scoring: IMP

Hello, this is the seventh thread in the big poll. If you didn't start at the beginning, please start at the beginning (hand 1). Please provide the most probable result after East opens 1 and you either

a) pass
b) double
c) bid 2.

Please do a cross imp result like:

a-b:
a-c:
b-c:

(a-c means the imps a wins over c)

Thanks :) Please try to do all 30 hands also :)

a: 1-P-1N-P-3-A/P. Making. -140.
b: 1-X-2-2-3-4. Down two on a top diamond lead. -200.
c: 1-2-P-3-3-A/P. Making. -140.

a-b: 2 IMPs (60)
a-c: 0 IMPs (0)
b-c: -2 IMPs (-60)

I think it is a lot more tempting to bid 4 over 3 on sequence b, as this would be a good result if north were not dead minimum in terms of both strength and shape for the 2 call.

a: agree with awm. E/W +140
b: I'd expect East hand to bid 2S.
   1S (X) 2C (2H)
   2S (3H) all pass. E/W +100
c: Agree with awm. E/W +140

a-b = (1) IMPs (-40) to N/S
a-c = 0 IMPs (--)
b-c = 1 IMPs (40) to N/S

I once yelled at my partner for discarding the 'wrong' card when he was subjected to a squeeze that I allowed by giving the wrong count with too high a card. Now he's allowed to pitch aces when the opponents have the king in the dummy. At trick 2. When he could have followed suit. And blame me.
