3 Heart will hope to compare missing values with extra length.
So I tell two wrongs to get one right?
It is totaly possible to play preempts this way but my partner never understands this.

preempts are about striking when it's right, not following rules.

I am not going to pass,
so I would say 3H, which
I would also bid unv.
Unv. 3H is a bit on the light side,
but I dont bid 4H, and I dont bid
2H with a 8 carder, with a 7 carder
yes, but not with an 8 carder.
With kind regards
Marlowe

pull, duh
that hand is better than the OP's and shorter in spades, so is an obvious 3 or 4h

You see what happens? You start passing a 7-carder and the next thing you know everybody thinks it is OK to pass an 8-carder.
