Hello! The robot used a negative double, but did not accept the second suit. It went back to my opening bid with two card support. It left me puzzled as to why it did this. If it is not going to accept the suit of the negative double, what is the point of using the negative double bid? What am I missing? Is this just a robot thing, or is it something I should incorporate into my F2F play? Best regards.

Mike

Well its taking a shot at game given the double fit with a doubleton spade honor.
But it shouldnt be, It's a passed hand worth an invite not a game force.
Game fails as you get pumped in hearts.
So need either 3-3 spades or a heart stopper, prefereably the ace
Even then needs club finesse
ill advised
Sarcasm is a state of mind
