What is going on with the second "takeout" double here?

Tricky to debug since this isn't replicable with the old robot. But I'm pretty sure I figured it out.
Auctions involving doubles always extrapolate very poorly as the robot's system for forcing passes and doubling for penalties is hopeless. And when North simulates, it assumes not only its partner, but its two opponents, will follow this hopeless system like clockwork..
In particular, it's told to pass, but thinks it if doubles, South will always bid 3♠, and then a basic robot sitting in West is incapable of logical thought and will always bid 4♥ with something like 3 hearts and a flat 12 count.. and while that makes with your specific deal, North probably hopes these Moysians will go down more than they make. (Such a robot would have raised 3♥ to 4♥ with that hand the round before as well.)

Thanks

A comment (at least) from BBO would really be appropriate here.
