Hand link
I had a textbook takeout double after the RHO's 2♠ weak two. LHO preemtively raises to 3♠, and my robot partner, with 12 HCP, *passes*. The distribution is suboptimal, but pass is certainly the wrong choice with such a strong hand - we can easly have game even with a minimum on my side. I repeat my takeout double, and now my bot partner bids 4♦ - which is described as 7- total points. Expecting a very weak hand, I pass - and I am shocked as I see 12 HCP coming down. We make small slam in diamonds (although that requires finding the doubleton Q offside) and easily make 4♥ on a 4-3 fit.
It looks to me as if the robot bugged somehow when it came to counting points, because that bidding is so nonsensical. It has multiple viable choices over 3♠ after my first takeout - gambling 3 NT with a half-stopper, bidding 4♥ with a 4-3 fit, bidding 4!D showing its longest suit, X asking me to bid my best suit. And even after the initial pass, over my 2nd takeout double, it could still have bid 4♥ for game, jumped to 5♦ or go for a penalty pass - there is no chance opps can make 3♠ with 12 HCP opposite a hand strong enough for a repeated takeout double.

Let me guess.. free robot? With all of the logic around whether all of those alternate options may be better disabled?
If it were a paid robot, this would indeed be shocking. Otherwise, totally normal / expected.
