Tricky. Usually the answer at MPs is to not make safety plays, but if spades are 5-3, then the diamond is more likely than not to be offside. So I think I'm going to take the IMP line anyway and duck twice, then play ace and 9 towards the jack.

Depends on E's card, if E shows an even number I only duck once
