I see that video chat is coming. I can't even get voice chat to work on a MacBook Pro. I've tried different browsers. No matter what I do my screen freezes. Has anyone been able to get the voice chat to work on a MacBook?

Video will use a different service than existing voice. We know there have been problems with voice and we will address them. But the video will use a different technology, which we trust will be more scalable, better quality and easier to use.

It would be a boon for players that want to look at each other.
Is there a pay-per-view option?

My first question is:
after Patrick led the D of hearts, and Aurora played the 5 from dummy, should she try and win it with the R or the V?
C'est la vie say the old folks? (http://bit.ly/CestLaVieBerry).

I guess we'll just have to wait and see if we can tell.Posted Image

The initial version will just let the players and TD see each other. Kibitzers won't see the video.

We're expecting that most of the tourneys that enable this will not allow kibitzers anyway.

Wonderful. Looking forward to seeing if it works in my games!

This is intentional.

There's a charge for using video chat, which will be taken out of the host's share of the entry fees. Hard to do this if there's no entry fee.

Do you know how much the charge is? we do offer very cheap tournaments (for our club members only), but it seems there is no option to use video chat.

At the moment video chat is only available if your tournament uses a BB$ entry fee. If it has entry fee set to zero it's not available.

It might make more sense to charge the players - then those not using it can save some money. 5 cents/round?
You should also have an audio-only tier.
You could also charge in free tourneys then!

Is the video/voice available afterwards for review by BBO for abuse?
I suppose players could save via various tools.
