Hi I do not want others to know when I go online. I have tried deleting all my friends (sadly) but people I have not connected with are getting alerts when I am online. Please can you help me.

Note that "friends" work oddly in BBO.
So, that's why "deleting all your friends" (stopping following people) didn't affect anything, and why "invisible" works. The notifications are based on what *they've* decided, not you. Good news - you can re-follow all those people.
Note that "invisible" doesn't 100% mean invisible, either:
One thing I noticed by accident: for clubs that check with 10 minutes to go if their players are logged in, of course, you "won't be", even though they could message you. They tend to panic at that :-)
- If you follow someone, you will get information about their existence online.
- The followed player does not get any notice, and may not even know they've been followed (which, if you're Sabine Auken, say, you're probably really happy about).
- If someone who you follow follows you, that is considered "friend", and shows up in a different colour. Don't think it affects anything otherwise.

We're not offering real invisibility. We just use that word because there's no better word for it.
When you're invisible, your friends don't get notified when you login, and you don't appear in the "Who's Online" list. Someone has to look for you explicitly.

Get yourself a new login ID and don't tell anyone what it is.
P.S. - this has the added benefit that you can login and play with one ID, and use another device with the other ID to login and kibitz the same game - it will greatly improve your interpretation of your partner's bids.

Not funny. This has actually been happening.
