In defense of GIB, after winning ♥Q, there are 6 possible cards to play and only 1 beats the contract. Not even a 50% chance of getting this once right.

DJ was a mistake. Now declarer "has" to have DK to have 15 HCP for his 1nt overcall.
Plus declarer has decided to play clubs this way missing the CJ .
I think you already know that GIB doesn't understand attitude or count. It will give the signals under some circumstances, but doesn't understand them.

i played d3 not dj. Is the hand not showing up correctly? Unless you meant to say "is" instead of "was".

On the QH you played the DJ. That locks the DK in declarer's hand so East gives up, it can't generate any hands where South doesn't have it.
Yes it's ridiculous that 15HCP is considered set in stone. But it's been a known issue with GIB for decades so until they announce a defense overhaul (expected timeframe maybe never), you have to just live with it, it's a waste of time posting these in this forum because everyone here knows GIB's defense sucks, and the main limitations are already well known to the developers (no understanding of
signalling, unable to bias plausible hand sample based on inferences on how declarer play the hand, too trusting of declarers having exact # of HCP and no stiffs when they bid NT).

okie dokie. my request to you is to ignore anything that says "GUBBO defence". In this case simple play of DQ would clarify position since I would play the King. Of course if GUBBO had Qxx in diamonds nothing more needs to be said. I just want as many hands as possible to be on record. If for nothing except get 'em off my plate.

There's no reason for east to play queen. It's actually better for east to play low, since it's perfectly possible for south to have the kj of diamonds and low gives a guess.
And since gib doesn't understand the meaning of the K, it's not necessarily going to help to signal with it anyway.
You can post whatever, just know that you aren't really accomplishing anything but cluttering the forum when it's this sort of issue, as opposed to the bidding issues which they are making progress on, albeit slower than we want.

You never know what bidding issues BBO is making progress with. Issues that were supposed fixed "in the next release" seem to continue to have problems. Issues that you would think would be the highest priority don't seem to be getting fixed. Actually, BBO doesn't usually list the bug fixes that are supposed to be included in the latest release so how are you supposed to know what's going on. They also don't list bugs that they are actually working on. A BBO spokesman saying something is on their list is pretty useless if it is #1000 on their to do list but they are only working on the top 3.

methinks only the bidding table is being fixed, if that. fixing defense has been static for many many years.
