Just play bridge robots. Human South.

The explanation for the double of 2♦ was 9 HCP; likely stop in H; likely stop in S;
The explanation for the 3♦ bid was the same with the addition of, "biddable ♦"

If the double followed by a bid of diamonds can be a weak doubleton in each major then the explanation is horribly misleading.
