Partner opened first hand 1♣, and the bidding started:
1♣ (1♦) 1♥ (P)
1♠ (2♦) ?
What to bid here?
With a human pd, I would most likely bid 3♦ to ask for ♦stopper or secondary ♥support.
But 3♦ was described as 4-card ♠support, which makes this hand virtually impossible to bid sensibly.
Other options were:
2NT = nat invite.
3♣ = 4+ ♥, 4+ ♣, 9+ total points ///// (non-forcing, right?)
3♥ = forcing with 6+♥

Decent intermediate or better players are playing 'almost' all
low level doubles as card showing, support Xs or TO Xs.
A double of 2D should find you 3 card H support, partner showing
long clubs, bidding 2N or even passing with a suitable hand.

Forgot to mention, X was defined as "biddable diamonds" or something equiv, so too dangerous playing with Gib.

Yes, bidding is correct, and your description probably right -- my bad, typing from memory, sorry
But my experience (from all earlier robot-games) anyways means it's non-forcing, which seems risky with my 13hcp.
I noticed now, at another table, someone else actually opted for a death-defying 3D (showing 4sp!) and robot-North then responded 3NT!
So I would suspect it is just an erroneous description, then.
Gib really does NOT interpret 3D as 4+spades....

This is so weird... at yet another table someone opted for the 3C over 2D. Robot-North then responds 3S!
So if I show spade-support, it bids 3NT.
While if I show club-support, it rebids spades...

Hi jdonn,
But why does Gib bid 3NT over 3D above, if it really shows 4sp support?

GIB simply thought it was best. You could always pull if you had four spades anyway.
