First: Is my hand worth a 3♦ bid?. Seems like most other bidders thought it was. I would consider this as forcing to game and didnt think I was strong enough.
Second: I cant X with three hearts, right?
Third: When p reopens that gives me the chance to pass if i have the penalty hand(spades). The x doesnt imply a strong hand, just distribution right?

How should it have been bid?

You have plenty to jump to 4♦ or 5♦ or to cue-bid 3♠ after your partner makes a takeout double.

Bidding 3♦ is consistent with holding a near yarborough or at least a weakish hand.

How should it have been bid?

1. Yes (well, almost). Your hand qualifies 2/1 for sayc (a little weaker for 2/1) if pd opens a major. After interference, you have to make decision to upgrade (3D) or downgrade (pass) your hand. If negative dbl doesn't guarantee (another) major(s), dbl would be ok, too.

2. In my opionion, dbl is another option (see above).

3. I am a strong believer that re-opening dbl shows extra. After pd's reopening dbl, I would cue-bid 3♠, then bid ♦ (at whatever level, even after pd's 3NT) at the next turn, IF someone passed for me (since I wouldn't pass 2♠), or I mis-clicked the pass.

It is exactly this sort of problem which Lebenshohl (and its relatives) is designed to solve.

If a 2NT response to the re-opening double denies values then you can freely respond 3♦ to the double on a hand like this without partner underestimating your strength.

Hi,

if a direct 3D would be forcing to game, than you need to make
a Negative Contra, intending to bid 3D over 3C.

This is a little bit dangerous, but your 3 cards in Hearts, your
shortage in spade and your diamond suit are features, which will
give your side a fair chance, that a heart contrat has some play.
I am not really good in it, but 4H seems to be an excellent
contract.

The hand does not fit really well with your method, it is an
example, which shows the merrits of a direct nonforcing 3D bid.

But there are other hands were a nonforcing 3D would lead to
trouble.

PS: Playing in an individual with an unknown person, I would simply
bid 3D, since this describes my hand best.

75% North, 15% South, 10% to the preempt.

Direct 3♦ is possible, but to only bid 3♦ over the double exhibits a lack of knowledge about these auctions. I'm OK with 4♦ or a 3♠ cue bid.

South could still move over 3♦, and probably should with 3♠. 3N is still very much in the game. However this North will still probably bid only 4♦ anyway over the cue.
