So how would GIB score if it entered the robot MP tournaments? My impression is somewhere near the 55% range.

Are there any statistics about how the different Tournaments compare in strength? For example, are the ACBL tournies a bit stronger on average? I assume the various Reward tournaments are the strongest.

Also, it would be really neat to know some typical MP percentages for various classes of players. Are most starred and expert players typically in the 65+% range? How about the ultra-specialists like Leo?

My personal goal is to reach 60% - it's been very frustrating (even Sisyphean) as one really bad result every now and then kills me and I slide down the mountain again.

Close-ish. Last time it was tested it came up 57% (or rather, last time that test results were published). And that was several versions back. I expect tthat there are more recent stats, but we have not been told.
Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

I can definitely tell you that the $1 Robot Rebate 55% tournaments are a lot tougher than the 25˘ Robot Duplicates. It's been a long time since I've tracked the data but I seem to recall averaging about 58% in Robodupe and 54% in Robot Rebate.

I'm pretty sure the robots are better than avg humans. In fact I don't know if I'd back myself (if I were using my avg robodupe cardplay and no robot strategies) or a robot if I were given even odds. A small part of the good performance might be due to better "compatibility" (for example, the robots know or know better what the explanations mean and they may know better what the cards mean {although I have seen this disputed}).
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

GIB's strengths - card play and defense, although far from expert level - come up every hand. Its weaknesses in bidding do not - many hands are straightforward 1NT-3NT or similar and GIB does fine on those. So I would expect it to average a better-than-average score.

For the record my MP average currently sits at 60.22%.
