It's been a while since I saw one of these but recorded for posterity!

MP, Instant, 34

Incidentally, it is only semantics, but I always interpreted "grand slam force" differently from "pick a slam". North clearly intended the latter (and that at the 6 level I feel), where to my mind "grand slam force" has always expressed doubts about trump quality where trumps are confirmed, and shows interest in grand opposite zero trump losers.

But the play was the main point.
Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Psyche (pron. sahy-kee): The human soul, spirit or mind (derived, personification thereof, beloved of Eros, Greek myth).
Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.

"Gentlemen, when the barrage lifts." 9th battalion, King's own Yorkshire light infantry,
2000 years earlier: "morituri te salutant"

"I will be with you, whatever". Blair to Bush, precursor to invasion of Iraq

Good new issue.
Now let's make corresponding analysis on Gib CC.

2* - 2* - 2NT= 22-24hcp
Opening 3nt= 25-27hcp
So as grand slam force, I think 5NT should show exact 13hcp instead of 11hcp.

I disagree, there is no need for a grand slam force. RKCB will tell if all the key cards are present. 5NT should say to choose between 6S and 6NT.

You did notice the card play, right?

I disagree, there is need for a grand slam force since RKCB will not tell exact invitational strength if all the key cards are present. 5NT as a quantitive bid should say to choose among 6, 6NT, 7 and 7nt exactly.

Oh, you got 13 tricks! just now I reviewed the card playing, difficult to believe that E Gib didn't play A twice.

The GIB that doubled was clearly a quite different program than the GIB that played...

And here is another very poor "Grand Slam Force" call by GIB on a hand where 6 could easily fail, and values for a grand are far away.

I just don't get it. To solve Gib not leading Ace against 7N programmers put in code to force Gib to lead ace. They never did fix the problem in the simulation.
So, again the bug in the simulation rears it's ugly head.
The question is why does the simulation miss the obvious play to take the setting trick?
Does this happen in lower contracts, say 3N, and Gib doesn't cash the setting trick?
This is embarrassing for a program that claims to have good defensive sense. Certainly whenever it is brought up that Gib wont lead a suit bid and even rebid and even raised, we are told Gib knows what it's doing.
Sarcasm is a state of mind
