bd 13
East confession:
would have started with 2NT response and easy sail to 6s.
after 2d (not necessarily -ve, semi automatic, least at my part of the globe), one does not have much option. even u go slowly after 2s, what else do you have to say?
doesnt jumping to 4s show a better hand than raising 3s, or 2nt and then support s?
your verdict?

Without discussion otherwise, I would assume 4S is a near-broke hand. You have an easy 3S bid, and then you can push on to slam yourself after West cuebids 4C.

I chatted about this one in kibgraph. 4!s is a poor call with two outside cover cards.

♠ J x x x ♥ K x ♦ J 9 x x ♣ K x x
- FWIW, I like control responses to 2♣.
- IMO 3♠ is stronger than 4♠. which might show ♠ x x x x ♥ x x x ♦ x x x ♣ x x x.
