I've seen this happen twice today.



North has a stopper in the unbid suit and I've bid NT, why is it pulling to 4C? 4S I could understand, but this seems random.



I don't agree with East's actions, but that's another story. What is West doing bidding 4D?

The first one is really weird but the second one I can sorta understand. W would like to make a takeout double but double is penalties or undefined in this situation.
