MP, best hand south, pro gib 30

I really think it is about time that BBO, kicked Capelletti into touch. The method is bad enough when used properly, but if it can't even do that ...

Actually, there's another potentially important piece to the story, which Jack revealed in another thread... Jack got a very good score on this board because it was an Instant Tournament; the other Easts, presumably an earlier version of GIB, passed 2. Whatever the problem is, it's likely to be something fairly new.

For security reasons,2 with 5-2 fits still is a good contract, just this is a digression.

The way that GIB currently plays Capelletti, like it or not (I have an opinion but irrelevant here) is that 2S may be only a 4 card suit, with longer minor.

Even if it absolutely promised 5, I have no problem with it removing 2S in favour of a certain better fit in a minor. Passing 2S may work out OK, but if going for the other minor, 3C???

Incidentally I know of one good player who uses 2N as natural here, and 3C as pass or correct. I could live with that, except that West here did not correct.

Thanks for reporting.

The bug was in 2NT rules.

Fixed and now it would come easily.

And also along the way fixed not to impose on extra length in minor.
