I would pass at any form of scoring, but I am not extremely happy about it.

It is far from clear what to do here, but I would pass and hope that it is right.

Same at any form of scoring.

There is no case whatsoever for any call other than pass. Sure, they may make it occasionally, but that could still be a gain compared to -1100 in 4x.

Agree with everyone here. You've nowhere to go - if they make it, "next board please".

Edit: actually the diamond spots here are probably good enough that you can be quietly confident of beating 3DX anyway.

Thank you for giving us the diamond 98 combo.

We have 2 (almost) sure trump tricks, and on some layouts can score 3, so this is a very comfortable pass for me. That doesn't mean I am 100% sure this will be our par spot, but it does mean that I feel the percentages are overwhelmingly in favour.

Bear in mind that the alternatives are awful.

If we bid 3N (puke), opposite any hand where we have play, we will be higher, and may well be in slam. If we bid 4 (nausea, but not quite vomiting), if we stop and make it, we would probably have done better on defence, but more often partner will raise on any hand that gives us play in 4, and then the doubling begins.

Pass also and if we bid 3N (choke, gag, puke) opposite any hand where PD can somehow not go higher and we make it, I'd expect to clobber 3X.

For the casual reader: being unhappy about an action doesn't mean some other action is even close to consideration. In this case, nothing else is reasonable but Timothy Toucan would not be bouncing wildly in his chair.
