I would double and expect partner to leave it in unless he has significant extra shape/offense. Obviously the space ace is not a great card, but I do not think partner will be pulling just because he has singleton spade. I would almost never pull with a 15(43) shape or a 1633 shape, unless the honour structure looked really weird. x AKQJxx Axx xxx would pull for example.
