So I was declaring a very dodgy 5C, but the defence didn't find the trump lead and I was in with a number of chances in this end position (south on lead, needs all the tricks):

The remaining high cards are the KQ, the A and the Q.

- If either player holds all 4 of those, he is triple-squeezed.
- If West holds the A but East the Q, with the spade honours split there is a double squeeze.
- If either player holds both spade honours and the Q he is automatic-squeezed.
- Finally, West holding the A and both top spades will be simple-squeezed.

All very neat - but unfortunately East had opened 1, so he had the A and West the Q, the spade honours were split, and none of the possible squeeze positions worked :(

Your hand diagram- Its sad that when you have a post that is what this forum is all about- interesting hands- then you don't get replies- people seems to just want an alternative solve this problem forum.

Indeed. If it was a problem solving hand I would have put it in the I/A forum :) Indeed I have a couple hands from the match that I will post there asking for ATB on when I get back tonight.

This one has no problem though - no squeeze works, so down 1, next board and wait a bit longer for my first double or triple squeeze :)

I would ask for my money back if I were you. :)
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

Can you show me all four hands or at least the auction and your both hands? Perhaps there was another squeeze.
