Bonus question if you end up doubling:

What should partner do with

2NT, followed by Pass or double depending on mood.

But - We have the areement, that 2NT can be based on 54.

Bonus: ... how to hide an answer?

2, because I have a good hand. Then pass, because it's not that good.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

Sorry I wanted to vote for 2 and pass.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

2 and double, because:

1) I have a club suit, and
2) I have enough to beat 4 in my own hand under most circumstances, and I will not allow my opps to steal from me if it is our hand.

2 because

a) I think the main value of UnusualNT/Michaels is partner being able to compete accurately. When you extend them to 5-4 hands, you might occasionally find a fit that you would otherwise have missed, but you force your partner into guessing on the rest of the hands and give up your advantage.
b) I have so much defense, I don't want my partner bidding over 4S on shape unless he thinks we are making it.

Pass because the upside is questionable and my partner may think he can pull to hearts.
If no one comes from the future to stop you from doing it then how bad a decision could it really be?

2C and pass, second choice 2C and double. If we double 4S partner should pull to 5C.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

I think it is very close between 2 and pass, on the one hand, and 2 and double, on the other. Having seen the spoiler, obviously I'd always opt for the former :P

ATT, I suspect it would depend on the mood I was in, and how well agressive decisions had ben working (assuming I'd made any so far).

If I did double 4, partner has, imo, a clear pull.

2 and pass. Doubling is very dangerous on 2245. I know some old timers that would overcall 2N with this (yes, really).

This. I don't see any alternative to either action.

I think I misvote but for me its 2C followed by X
From Psych "I mean, Gus and I never see eye-to-eye on work stuff.
For instance, he doesn't like being used as a human shield when we're being shot at.
I happen to think it's a very noble way to meet one's maker, especially for a guy like him.
Bottom line is we never let that difference of opinion interfere with anything."

giving up on 4 spades doubled when it can so easilly be your best spot doesn't look very good to me.

Having voted for 2C and pass, and not thinking it very close, having seen the spoiler obviously I'd opt for the the latter (2C and double)

2 + dbl. I can't bring myself to passing 4, though that's probably the right bid in practice.

MPs I'd do 2C then X. I voted for 2C and pass because it's IMPs. Yes that's probably slightly on the wimpish side - I blame my new partner for getting me into this mindset. :)
