In bridge as in physics you need to learn to limit your questions ...otherwise you end up as you did hopeless.
Granted you risk leaving something out but so you state that and move on.
in your example you got trapped in your own loop.
I mean why is the electric charge of the proton and electron exactly equal and opposite?

I would bid 4 ♣, I do not have enough to justify a jump to game.

This was the one hand I got to kib. The pass over 3 hearts was alerted as showing a suit worth having partner lead (double would have shown lack of interest in the suit).

* Partner can have the Q or J of hearts (or stiff K)
* LHO may decide to lead from a long or chunky side suit (I've seen weirder things happen)
* LHO may underlead Qxx/Jxx, and they may not untangle it
* LHO may have a stiff honor (give partner something like A / xxx / AKQJxxx / KQ, for example)
In hindsight, I think 4C is right, and I don't find it that close. Competent opponents (and/or ones holding ♥AKQJxx) will usually get this right.

For instance, he doesn't like being used as a human shield when we're being shot at.
I happen to think it's a very noble way to meet one's maker, especially for a guy like him.
Bottom line is we never let that difference of opinion interfere with anything."

Maybe a hand too weak to act directly over 1 ♥, like the actual one with the black suits switched? Hoping to find partner with 3073 or something like that?

Anyway I think that when partner showed a solid minor having a half a stopper bid is a must, a stiff J can make the difference between making 3Nt or being -3 after all.

1Nt--3H 3=1-(54) GF
3S--??
what does 3S mean ? I think that its kind of a 3way bid with a hand like
AKxx
Jxxx
AKx
Jx
1- asking for half a stopper in H ( a stiff honor)
2- showing 5S and a min hand (a direct 4S would be better and 4H even better i guess)
3- wanting to know wich minor is best with correction to 4S to play or 4H as COG. (both suggesting that we dont have a great fit in the minors)
