We're trying to learn IMPrecision and we'll probably have a few questions. So far...

After 1C-1D, 1H-1S, 2D could be 1444 ? or does this pattern rebid 1N over 1D?

How do we relay after...

1C-1D, 1H-1N, 2C-2D, 2H

the notes say that the continuations are like after 1C-1S, 2C-2D only up 1 step but the former can only be 4432s or 3433 while the latter can be 4432s or 4333s or 5m332s.

They both include 5m332. They are also both similar to our relays after 1♦-1M-1NT-2♦. Anyway, the continuations are:

Cheapest step = doubleton spade (2♠ over 1♣-1♠-2♣-2♦-2♥)
Next step = 4333 hand (not 4♠) (2N)
Next step = 5♣-3♠-(32) (3♣)
Next step = 5♦-3♠-(32) (3♦)
Remaining steps = 3♠-(442) (3♥-3N)

The mnemonic is basically that 2N, 3♣, 3♦ are natural. However, this obviously doesn't quite work in the 1♣-1♦-1♥-1N-2♣-2♦-2♥ sequence because we are one step up. Note that in the latter sequence we are very much in the slam range though (because opener must be 21+ and responder 9+ for this auction to happen) so bypassing 3NT sometimes is not that big of a deal.

Thanks. I was forgetting that 1C-1D, 1H could be the 5m332.

Next question...if responder has a 6C322 of maybe 6 or 7 hcps just shy of wanting to commit to game, does he respond 1S and treat the hand as a 5C332?

Never mind. They respond 2C to begin with.

what are the continuations? What is forcing and invitational and non-forcing? Thanks
