6. Probably better than 5, which could get us to 6, which might go down on a heart ruff.

As your partner, I will appreciate the 6H bid ---whether successful or not. Much better than torturing me with other actions which I will not understand.

It also has the big advantage that if partner is looking at AK he might well bid 7. You've got a very good hand if you bid 6 missing these and can hardly be missing another first round control.

7C is cold with the K in the slot, but hard to find

To be honest when i looked at the hand i bid 5. But reading the Cyber's and Hanoi's reasons to bid 6, i admit i like 6 more.

I was also a 5S bidder, to be followed by 6H over partner's 6C. Unlike you I am still not 100% convinced this is not as good a description of the hand as a direct 6H.
