South deals and opens 1C

I was sitting south and was able to ask for keys in clubs, and found out my partner had 3 keys. Unfortunately we play # of kings, and my king ask showed 1 outside. Knowing that, we have 12 tricks... I needed to know about that darn Q♠... I ended up in 6NT making 7 (not only did spades give me pitches, they also split 3-3... so I had 16 top tricks...)

Assuming King ask promises all the keys after K ask by south north should jump to 7c. North has spade tricks that south does not know about.

Of course this means that the K ask promises all the key cards 100%.

as mike says, 5NT promises all card whatever your responses, and north has to drive to 7, he is not certain that on a heart lead he will have enough tricks, but all in all he should give it a try.

Our auction is simple, 4♣-4♦(Keycard)-5♣(2 with)-7♣(in case partner only has 7 clubs and you have to ruff the spades good, although this is unlikely, as partner would probably open 1♣ with only 7).

If you open 1♣:

1♣-2♠(GF, slam interested with ♠, or 13+ decent 5+♠/4+♣)
3♣-3N(single suited ♠, balanced ish, this shape or 6331 vey likely)
4♣(lots of them)-4♦ and continue as above.
