IMPs. You play in 4. You dealt and the opponents were silent.

Opening lead is the 4, 2 and a fast 6 from RHO which you win.

Rightly or wrongly, you lead a spade up, LHO grabs the Ace and exits the 7. RHO plays the 4 and 2 (udca).

(edit - not sure what happened but your spade holding is the 10-5.)

Now what.

I'd play the HA, then club, club, club ruff.
Yay for the "Ignored Users" feature!

If LHO had AQ, K and Q he might have doubled 1. I play a heart to the queen. If that loses, I'll use A to take a club finesse against East.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

Not sure why I suggested that line. If my assumptions are correct, mtvesuvius's line also works, and he gains against several other layouts.

LHO held Ax KJT QTx Qxxxx. If you are going to ruff clubs, make sure you use the middle trump. Cashing the A is fine too.

At the table, I ruffed a spade to hand and was overruffed. Diamond exit, heart to my Ace, and from there I crossruffed. I wasn't real confident about this line but it seemed reasonable at the time.

Obviously lots of lines work, and some lines do not.
