Instead of playing in the evening side game here in Sarasota, a few friends and I decided to have a late dinner followed by some informal bridge. We decided to play 8 boards with each person, all playing relay precision, rotating as necessary. After a couple uneventful hands at the "Kitchen Table", you pick up:
What is your call over 4♥? A double by partner in direct would have been takeout.

4n and 5♦ both seem insane to me. But I can see good reasons for P, 4♠, and X. I think I'd bid 4♠.

I always bid 4♠ with this hands, then you need some table feel to know if you ahve to run to 5♦ or not.
