RHO's 2 showed four spades and a longer Minor.

Scoring is IMP's across the field.

Multi polls, I love them

There are no lead issues unless east has both aces wich seems so unlikelly, so I have no problem supporting. Playing clubs can be important if partner has J6/J7 and we can only finese clubs playing clubs, passing and double seem ridicoulous

IMO 5 = 10, _X = 9, 4N = 8, 5 = 7.
If opponents lead against 5 you may have problems

Any forcing openings in your system mr. Berg?
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

5. Partner should have at least 7 clubs for his 4 bid, but probably not the K. seems to play better than if at the same level. Selling out to 4, doubled or not, is very speculative. 4 will probably go down 1 very often, but sometimes it makes and sometimes 5 makes. I have a bad feeling for my K on defense, even if it is behind the ace. And partner should be much less willing to run from 3NT if he has some help for us with secondary stuff in the pointed suits.

I don't like 5 because it puts my stiff K on the table, beyond all hope of usefulness.

I chose double.

5 in the actual sequence, partner can correct to if he wishes. But in the name of God, if you don't open 2 with this hand, when do you?
