3♦ followed by 4♦ shows the one suited rock crusher, 4♥ is keycard in ♦, 5N is strongly suggestive of wanting to play a slam with a void ♦ but not knowing which one, partner's already shown a suit good enough to play for 0-1 losers opposite a singleton.

I'd bid 1♠-2♦-3♣-4♦ setting diamonds as trumps, next is 4♥ cue, 4NT and since 1 jeycard is missing only 6♦ will be played.

I would start with:
1♠ - 2♦! (5+♠ ; INV+ 6+♦/GF 5♦-3+♠)
3♥! - ... (16+HCP, 6+♠-4♣ ; ...)

Now North will probably bid 4♦ or 3♠, and depending on which and how opener reacts we'll end up in 6♦/♠ (after 4♦) or 7♠ (after 3♠).

Not an ideal hand for our system.

2♠-3♦ (nat; nat, no fit usually)
4♠-4NT (my hand got worse, lets play safe; actually...)
5♣-5♦ (0/3; Q?)
5NT-6♠ (Yes, plus non-king goodies; be reasonable)

Though we might accidentally end up in 7 after 5NT or if opener doesn't rebid 4♠, which is definitely reasonable for us

This looks like rather horrible hand for us. It starts

1♣ (15+) - 2♠ (Singlesuited with !Ds, high shortness or no shortness)
2NT (Relay) - 3♠ (1273/1372, best description)

Now the options are 4C asking for AKQ points or 4D for Sign-off relay, neither seems really good. Over 4D responder will kick with 10+ AKQ points. If it goes 4D-4H-4S, should responder maybe do something? Partner has shown suit playable against singleton and your singleton happens to be K, in addition you have 8th diamond which is pretty good news if partner holds singleton.

I guess the real solution was relay break after 2♠ but we haven't agreed them yet (just started on building system). I have to take this hand up when discussing those breaks

This is a tough hand for any relay system that has North describing to South. The key is that South can never learn of the DJ unless you have a special sequence that shows a 1-loser suit. In my system there our several possible routes but none of them are perfect. I think the one most likely to be used in practise is a sequence I recently changed and am still testing so this is a nice hand to play with...

1C = 15+nat/bal or 18+any
... 1S = 9+, no major
1N = 18+
... 2C = 5+ diamonds, 1-suited or with 4 clubs
2D = relay
... 3D = 8+ diamonds, 0-1 spades
3H = relay
... 3N = extras (12+), singleton spade
4S = sign-off
... 5D = 2 keycards without SQ, significant extras
5N = all keycards, king ask
... 6C = CK
6S

@Flam, I would assume you have a mechanism for North to show extras if South bids 4D - it is wrong for this North hand to simply bid 4H imho. This is one of the advantages of using direct sign-offs against 4D since it is easier to show these extras in a logical and useful way. Unfortunately it is harder to sign off this South hand having shown 16+ rather than 18+ so you are probably stuck with 4C in practise using these methods.
