1) Agree with pass, now 4C, which might be wrong double dummy, but they don't always get their spade ruff.
2) 3C would have been a second negative I'm assuming. Anyway I think we have too much potential to just bid 3N now even at matchpoints so I will bid 4C and hope partner either rebids diamonds or shows some life.

First one pass and 4♣ seem clear to me
Second one I'd try 3♠ wich is a bit masterminding, but I really wanna hear partner bidding 3NT or 4♦, I don't have enough diamonds to bid 4♦ just yet, but if I can do it next round that would we awesome.

2nd hand:
KQ AKQ8x AQ AQ9x.
Just bid 4D! = Minorwood ( in GF auction ) to find out about controls.
Partner has at least 5 cards Diam and since he can't have the normal 2 of the top 3, he should have 3 of the top 5.... so Diam should be a good suit for trumps if that is your choice.
It would be nice if he had the Sp Ace or the Cl K to make the slam a near lock.
But if he only has the Diam K J-6th, you might be able to set up a 4th Ht ( ruffing high, if need be ) or he might have the Ht or Sp J ... for an easy 12 tricks. And other good chances are there too....
For example, with 5 trumps and the Cl K onsides, and the 4th Ht setting up:
1s, 4h, 5d, 2c = 12
KQ AKQ8x AQ AQ9x.

1. I passed and bid 4♣ and fel rather lucky to go for 500. Partner put down a strange Kxx KT9xxx Txxx void. LHO held AT9xx AQxx Q AT9. They didn't find their spade ruff. 3N makes easily however -500 was about a 30% board.
2. I don't love our auction but I held Axxx x JTxxx. Here's the entire auction:
I wasn't really proud of 3♦, and I think 2N is a better call. However, the money slam is 6♦, not 6N (-1 on normal defense).
I think I like a start of 2♣ - 2♦ - 2♥ - 2N - 3♣ - 3♦....but the right call over 3♦ is unclear to me.

1. Agree with pass. Now it's an obvious 4♣. I pretty much doubt you're going to set this and your hand feels like bidding.
2. Now 3♥. You need to keep the bidding as low as possible because of your extras. If pard now bids
3♠: bid 3NT. You're probably going no where due to lack of entries.
3NT: raise this to 4, quantitative.
4♣: perfect (I just hope you can bid 4NT as RKCB now
4♦: as above. Pard will probably have 6 cards there and it's become a matter of keys.
4♥: probably best to pass this and accept the likely 5-2 fit.
Seems like most options are covered by 3♥. Agree it's a strange-looking bid, but apparently it works
