Your call ?
Would it be different at imps ?
If you pass what do you do with the hand improved by J♦ ?

#1 Pass, waiting for p to reopen with a X, and converting.
#2 Pass as well
With kind regards

A problem with this approach is that partner may not act with a 2(335) shape, fearing a matching 3(442).
With ♦J as well, I'd still pass at matchpoints. At IMPs, assuming 1NT is really 15-17, I'd bid 3NT.

Not quite so old guy answer - double is TO and I don't relish putting this hand down in 3♦ or 3♥.
I'll pass and see what pard does.

Passing with the jack of diamonds also seems pretty absurd at all white MP. I guess you are gambling that people will go down in 3N and you will go plus in whatever but it seems like a big view. It probably depends on who RHO is a lot.

NINE POINTS!
POOR SHAPE!
HIGH CARDS IN MY SHORT SUITS!
NOT ENOUGH POINTS FOR GAME?
MISPLACED SPADE HONOURS?
BAD BREAKS?
All in all, 3NT seems more likely to go down than to make. That would make pass a good bet rather than a gamble.
