I've been trying to catch Hanoi or inquiry online but despite me being online close to "constantly", I have not been on at the same time for many days now. I guess there is plenty of time to bid the second round so I'll just keep waiting for an opportunity. The trouble is my partner is an avid club player so he is not online or available as much as I am.

Apparently both players need to be using the program instead of the browser version, can you do that? When?

Does this apply to everyone bidding in round2, must both contestants use netbridgevu?

I'm available. Both contestants would need to use the program and none can use the browser.

This may be a problem for me (and possibly others) who are Mac-based. I can try to find an emulator, but setting it up is likely to be a lot of trouble. Is there a reason we can't use the web based version as usual?

If there is one (or two) player (s) using the browser version a table will have to be opened and closed for every board.

I'm guessing it is something to do with us having to use a partnership bidding table rather than the teaching tables that we used in the first round. There was a 'feature' in the teaching table that allowed some players to see the hand during the bidding.

I don't know what this means.

You need to use the "old" windows software.

Ooh, I get it now. I don't use the web BBO at all, I tried it a couple of times but I can't be bothered to learn its differences...

I will be online tonight Tim. Not 100% sure by 8 -- i will try to get back in time-- but surely by 9PM and maybe by 8:30. Jillybean has bid the hands and is able to help now as well as me and hanoi5.

I will double check with my partner. 8:30 would probably be just as good as 8:00, 8:00 was sort of an earliest for me, too.

Do I understand correctly that we will be able to use the browser version?

Once I get these bid, I'd be happy to help out by hosting if there are good instructions. (I have no experience with teaching tables.)

We can't use partnership bidding tables like we hoped (works if everyone uses the netbridgevu instead of browser).

So ideal options are:

1) Both Parnters use netbridgevu and we can use partnership bidding tables
2) Both partners use browser at teaching tables

non-ideal solution

3) One uses browser, one uses netbridgevu --- have to use bidding tables.

Confirmed with my partner for tonight around 8:30, no problem if it is 9:00.
