you're playing online. wild west rules in effect, so obviously almost anything goes etc. etc.

you open wilkosz 2 (55 with at least one major, 5-9hcp) holding
xx
9xxxxx
9xxxx
-

In jurisdictions and events where Wilkosz is permitted, would this be considered a psych?
(edit, psych, as opposed to a slight, judgment adjustment)

If it is a one off then yes it is a psyche. If it is regular thing then it is a concealed understanding.

Agree. Fortunately there is a way on BBO to see if it was a one time occurrence or not if it actually becomes a ruling issue. Review the hands played by these players and see how many other such bids you find.

However, BBO open tables play is played under whatever rules the table host wants.

Playing with Clueless Lucy, you could make the same psych six hands in a row, and it still wouldn't be a CPU, because she'd never get it.

A long time ago, I made a rather stupid 2 bid in response to my partner's major opening. Somebody said I'd psyched. Nope. A psych is a deliberate departure from agreement, and I thought the bid was legit iaw our agreement. I was wrong, but I didn't psych, I misbid.

The point is that given nothing but a hand and an auction, there's insufficient evidence to rule either psych or CPU.

Too far from the announced description for it to be a deviation. (Whether that makes it a pysch or a misbid or an incorrect description of an agreement is another question.)

I would accept a 6-5 hand with one king or queen as a normal deviation, but not the posted hand. If you made it 6-6-1 with no faces cards it'd be a tougher question.
