West: 1
North: 2 (alerted)
East: "What's 2, please?"
South: "Multi, weak two in a major or strong and balanced."
North (pointing to the 1 card on the table in front of West): "I don't think so!"

EW call the director. South obviously hadn't seen the opening bid. What action should he take?

Continue with the hand. The fact that 1 has been bid is UI to south, the fact that south didn't see the 1 is UI to north, everything is authorised to E/W.

Give north either a PP or a lecture/talk about when he is allowed to correct MI, based on their experience
