Here is this week's 2nd challenge. (Those of you who communicate with me via e-mail will receive feedback more quickly than those who post here.)

Construct a full deal that satisfies all three of the following conditions simultaneously:

1. EAST-WEST are cold for 7♥ AND 7♠ - played by either player - and cold against any lead or defense.

AND

2. NORTH-SOUTH are cold for 3NT - played by either player - and cold against any lead or defense.

AND

3. NORTH-SOUTH posses NO ACES whatsoever.

Good luck!

EW make 7 and 7 (7 by West just survives a ruff at T1). Meanwhile in 3NT, NS can make 8 club tricks and poor East cannot do anything to stop North making at least 1 diamond trick.

Very nice.

Now - try this one: ONLY ONE condition:

NORTH/SOUTH are cold for 3NT holding a COMBINED 6 HCP between the two hands. Either direction - any lead or defense.

Took me a while, but I think I've got it.

East is endplayed in , clubs get set up before the diamonds do (discard a club should you need a discard on the A.

Edit: Oops, just realised if you discard a club before defence plays a diamond, you can be thrown in yourself, will keep this up for reference though.
