Double, way more flexible than 4 on a hand where we are happy no matter what partner does (as long as he isn't broke!)
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

Ok, since a dbl is unanimous,

what do you do if partner responds 4m?

I would pass.

4 is a stretch looking for a 5-3 fit and if pard doesn't fit hearts this will start getting uncomfortable. Dbl with this pattern is done so we can be 'flexible', but to take another call feels like an overbid and promises at least another King and has the expectation of making 5m opposite an 8 count. .

I think if you were planning on bidding 4 you should have done so in the 1st place.

Why? If partner bids 3N or passes our double we are very happy to have started with a double! Now that partner didn't, why is it inconsistent to fall back on 4?

Anyway I agree with passing 4m but think it's close.
