The Laws Forums are guests here. Their posters might be new to our community. I request that the BBO forum community treat the new forums with some degree of civility.

The moderators of the Laws forums are free to moderate their forums exactly as they please. Drop me a line if they violate US Law, but otherwise, please allow them to run their shop as they see fit.

I assume from this the IBF law forum is moderating itself, ie Ed and or David are the moderators?
Furthermore, the IBF forum is not required to adhere to the BBO forum guidelines?

Does this mean that those forums are separate from the others? If someone has a question related to the laws (not necessarily about them), MUST that person post in the Laws Forum?

I noticed that Jillybean's thread was moved there at Blackshoe's behest. Yes, she mentioned that perhaps she should have posted it elsewhere (though it seemed more of a question than a request that it be moved), but she didn't request it to be moved, and it was related to offline bridge where she originally put it.

Ed and or David are indeed the moderators. BBO rules apply , I think, but these are sort of "3rd party" forums so perhaps they should apply with more leniency than usual. Lets wait & see.

You don't have to use the Laws forums if you don't want to. I think it would benefit us all if Law things went there.
