Help
I filled out an ACBL style convention card according to what I think are the agreements with an online partner. I would certainly like him to review it (since "I think" is a less than authoritative modifier). So far we have not discovered the secrets to doing that (OK - we have not spent very much time trying).
Anyone know how?

what program did you use to fill it out?
If the BBO program, you can sit at a table, load the cc, and partner can see it, and save it to partner's computer.
If you used ACBL's convention editor, it's saved on your computer as a .ac2 file. Root around in your programs folder, and you should find it (I can give you more details if you tell me what kind of computer you have (windows/pc/other)). Email it to your partner, who should put it in the same type of folder on his computer, and he should be able to open it.
Lastly, you could try scanning it and making a PDF file, which is very easy to share (and would be great if the editor had an option to make one)

Steps 1 through 3 are only necessary if you have not already specified the user ID of your partner with whom you want to share the convention card in question. If you have done that already, go to step 4.
1. Edit the convention card you already created
2. Type your partner's BBO user ID into the space for "partner" at the top of the window in which your convention card is displayed
3. Click the "save" button at the top of the window
4. Tell your partner to log in and bring up his list of convention cards. If he is using the Windows client he can do this by clicking "CONV" then "Manage ACBL Convention Cards". If he is using the web-client he can do this by clicking "My BBO" then "Convention Cards".
5. Your partner will see the convention card you created in the list. He can click the corresponding "view" button to see it or the "edit" button if he wants to change it.
Note that when you specify a partner for a given convention card, that convention card becomes a single shared document - either partner is allowed to edit it. This may result in information being lost if you both try to edit the same convention card at the same time. If you are concerned about this, I suggest you and your partner decide who "owns" the document at any given point in time.
